[Thomas Faolan]

Thomas smiled as he sat down beneath the beech trees simply looking at the sky. It was so cloudy out today and even though the sun didn't hurt his kind he didn't like it's feel. It always felt so unnatural to him and he felt much better when the thing was blotted out of the sky. Duncan was sleeping as he did sometimes during the day and Thomas had decided to take Thanatos out for a walk. The wolf dog had its tounge out and it seemed to have a smile on its face. Even if he couldn't tell the connection of familiar and dog let him know. Thanatos had Thomas's black blood in him.

He looked around because he saw Thanatos's ears twitch and he ahd the feel that someone was there. "Hello?" he asked. Vampires didn't have a six sense that allowed them to know if it was a creature, but he smelled the distinct smell of fae. And a poweful one at that.

[Kiera Herr]

Kiera stepped through the trees as white as if frost had coated them. The lush green made no noise as her shoes eased into the wet grass. Her wind-breaker zipped up to her throat, she looked at the sky as she kept on. The earth had such a welcoming scent to her, even if she felt abnormally cold today.

He could hear someone walking and Thomas stood up and walked towards the sound and soon he saw a girl. Her face looked a lot like Kellyn's though they differed in hair color. "Hello," he said.

[Kiera Herr]

Kiera looked down at the boy from where her eyes and thoughts had just been meandering in the sky. "Hello, "she said cooly. She did not want to talk to people, she had been having a rough day already and she didn't want to have to deal with others at the moment. She did not let her cold expression show her thoughts though. She couldn't tell from what or how, but a very strong stench stung her nose as the boy got closer.

Thanatos came up and sniffed at her. The wolf never did have any manners and Thomas had become so used to it. He never even thought of the way Thanatos acted any more. "I'm Thomas and you are?" he asked. Could this be Kiera? Sure he'd seen a picture of her, but it was three years old so how could he be sure? He would just have to wait and see.

[Kiera Herr]

"Well, I-uh, I'm Kiera..." she said jabbing out her hand, trying to be polite. She looked down at the dog and felt the urge to reach down and pet him, but thought better of it and pulled back. She looked back up at Thomas then smiled at him awkwardly, trying to be polite, but not too polite.

"Nice to meet you Kiera," he said shaking her head. She seemed stiff and unsure, but Thomas merely gave her a gentle smile as if he didn't notice. He was sure now and didn't want her to act strangely around him. "That's Thanatos sniffing at you. Sorry he isn't very good when it comes to manners." He gave a whistle and the dog stepped back a bit before sitting down and looking at her with his tounge hanging out.

Kiera looked at him, suspicion glinting in her eyes. She couldn't help but giggle slightly when she looked at the dog. A sigh escaped her silently as she shrunk more into her jacket reaching for its warmth.

"So what are you doing out here anyway?" he asked curiously as Thanatos looked at him with a plea to go back to the girl. Thomas gave a slight shake of his head and Thanatos calmed down trying to look like he didn't want to go towards Keira.

[Kiera Herr]

The small glint of suspicion flickered for only a moment. Her eyes meandered and she looked at Thanatos, then back at Thomas. "I was just out for a walk..., " she said hesitantly. She looked up at the sky, then the trees around her. As she looked from one level down to the next then all the way down to her feet she was biting her lip. She then looked back up at him, a polite smile again pasted to her features.

Thomas smiled at the way she seemed to be shyly polite instead of just talking with him. “You know you don’t have to be so suspicious right? I’m just a guy out here for a walk with his dog and trying to make friends of a nice girl,” he said avoiding the word ‘cute’. He’d wanted to call her cute, but he felt that would make her more uncomfortable than calm around him. When he realized who she was he knew it was just is job to befriend her and protect her from Emmerich.

She started to smile, but was unsure of herself. "I'm sorry...", she said as her smile started to become more warm. "I was just sort of- yeah..." She didn't know what to say to him, she couldn't say she was just out of it, that was a lie, but she couldn't say that she was having a rough time, because she didn't know him well enough for that type of confidence.

“It’s alright,” he said smiling at her gently to show that he was friendly. He didn’t show his teeth in fear that his fangs might have slipped out and instead just did his best so that she would know he was friendly. “I guess you can’t exactly trust me since we just met each other five minutes ago? Oh and the fact that you just stumbled across me in the forest.” It wasn’t the best meeting and Thomas realized it might make her feel a little bit uncomfortable.

She sensed he was holding something back but brushed it off briskly. Her plastic smile was warm, but she didn't know what to do and whether or not to fully trust him or anything. "Ha ha, no its quite alright." She didn't know what to do or say next. Her thoughts seemed to be stunted.
